How the jumper differs from the sweater
A sweater is called knitted (non -knitted!) clothes with a high collar. It’s funny, but the word «sweater» came from the word «to sweat» (to sweat). Apparently, when this item was invented, it seemed so warm that it was impossible not to sweat in such. And indeed, having dressed not in the weather, in a too warm sweater you can and to waree very seriously. Sometimes a sweater is decorated with a pattern of «pigtails», embossed patterns or ornaments (for example, anecdotal deer). But this, in fact, is not necessary at all. But the sweater collar is simply obliged to be. Without such a collar, it will no longer be a sweater, but another wardrobe item. In addition, the sweater has no fasteners, unlike a sweater that is equipped with a button on buttons or a zipper.
