What is podcast
Combined two words — BroadCasting (wide broadcasting) and iPod, so it turned out to be a podcast. Once podcasts were intended mainly for the owners of the iPodes. What is the difference between cast (podcast) and just audio recording? Most often, podcasts are called something thematic and periodic, a sequence of records like an audio or video blog or television or radio broadcast. This is a kind of Internet broadcasting, but not continuous, as, for example, for “network radio stations” on the site 101, and discrete through separate entries. Podcasts are both paid and free, but free, of course, more. Now, in principle, they would be more competent to call webcas (from Web-a network), but for some reason this word has not received a significant distribution among Internet users. In general, once a week, or a month, or every day (at the choice of the owner), a new audio or video on a certain topic appears on a network resource he has determined. Everything is as with television and radio programs, except that the distribution of podcasts is much cheaper to cost their creator. And almost anyone can publish them — create their own “line” posts about cooking, or about cats, or with reviews of cinema. The topic can be completely arbitrary as soon as your imagination wishes.
