Emergency Situations in Zaporozhye calls not to be afraid of «brown rain».Zaporozhytsev, who had fallen up yesterday in the city with a strange “brown rain”, reassured representatives of the Main Directorate of State Emergency State Services. They stated that an extraordinary phenomenon does not pose any threat to the life and health of citizens. Officially confirmed the “safety” of precipitation and Julia Barysheva, who is an assistant to the head of the State Emergencies Ministry in the Zaporizhzhya region. Her words were a response to the numerous appeals of journalists and citizens trying to understand the nature of the rain with an incomprehensible brown-brown hue. Julia Barysheva noted that such precipitation was falling in several more regions of Ukraine in particular in the Dnipropetrovsk, Sevastopol and Nikopol region. Those who at that time ended up on the street noticed on their clothes, umbrellas or car bodies strange brownish traces left by drops flying from the sky, which became an occasion to talk about a large -scale environmental disaster. However, the Zaporizhzhya State Emergencies Ministry claims that there is no reason for concern. During the rain and immediately after it, the employees of the city sanitary and epidemiological services, together with hydrometeorologists and rescuers, made soils, air and water in different areas of the region, and also measured the level of radiation. As a result of the checks, as noted by the chief sanitary doctor Anatoly Sevalnev, no deviations from the norm were revealed. Also Yu. Barysheva confirmed that none of the local residents turned to doctors with complaints about their health related to strange precipitation. In addition, according to the representative of the State Emergencies Ministry yesterday, on March 15, her service workers called all the industrial enterprises of Zaporozhye and the region to find out if there were no unauthorized emission of harmful substances anywhere. The answers came only negative. Currently, experts are looking for the cause of “brown rain”.Sevastopol meteorologists, where unusual precipitation was also recorded yesterday, have their explanation. They believe that the sand brought by a cyclone from the Sahara desert was mixed to the rain. The phenomenon provoked an abnormally high night temperature in the Crimea, and now, when it was cold, along with rain drops on the ground, African grains of sand have fallen. The version with a cyclone seems quite logical against the background of the fact that in the Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk region a storm warning announced a day ago, and later a hurricane really passed in these places
