Japan is one of those countries where robots are considered something more than just automated mechanisms with a certain set of functions. After the tragic events in this country, they play an important role in assessing damage at Fukushima and measuring the level of radiation established there. In addition, they are engaged in the elimination of the consequences of earthquakes and tsunami, as well as the restoration of infrastructure after this. It turns out that robots have become real rescuers. However, Toshiba believes that robots that exist today are not functional and mobile, which is explained by the nature of their movement (using wheels and caterpillars), which directly affects the tasks set before them.
