Paving slabs have the advantage that one damaged tile is easily replaced by a new. A blind area of crushed stone, gravel, expanded clay or pebbles is the simplest and is used if there is a high level of groundwater. Geotextiles are laid on the soil, thoroughly compacted, covered with 10 cm thick crushed stone on top.
